First and foremost, we would like to thank you for visiting our website. We understand that choosing a childcare provider for your child can be stressful but hope that it has put both you and your child at ease, we really do care about all our children and their parents or carers!
We want to take the opportunity whilst you’re at home to cover anything that we may have missed about your child’s potential journey with us. Along with both Christine and I we have fully trained staff to support your child’s development and will offer a bespoke welcome package based on their age/development needs when they join us. Whether that be from a few months old or in primary school we believe we have something to offer, we operate along the EYFS; supported by @Home Childcare who are affiliated with Ofsted; who help us maintain expected standards as well as audit us throughout the year. They offer a more local and personal service which we felt was the right move for the business moving forward.
So that’s now but what about where we started?……
After years of working in large nurseries Christine decided that she wanted to provide her own home-based setting, a few parents had mentioned that if she did operate from home that they would want their child to be cared for by her – which made the decision easier. Taking a risk Chris’s Childcare was born in September 2011 the business has gone from strength to strength. What started with just a catered dining room which grew to that and a conservatory, then we invested in a more child friendly garden with artificial grass. We have invested in two outdoor rooms that are our dedicated pre-school and toddler rooms. We have also invested in a full CCTV system and a 6ft fence to keep the children safe. We now employ Stacey as Manager, Lydia as Assistant Manager. We also have level 3 qualified room leaders plus other staff keeping us within the government ratios, all our staff are 100% dedicated all are safeguarding trained with paediatric first aid, prevent and food hygiene too.
What about the future?
We are proud of our team and what they do, all qualified – we are impassioned in delivering the best possible educational support before they join school – your child’s journey will be updated through Tapestry who support us in focusing on relevant and vital key skills to enable the children to grow, you will have login details so that you can also log in and understand what they’ve been doing through the week. For us as a business the future is all about supporting our staff and a focus as always on the care that they provide, this will never change, and it is that very thinking that has allowed us to be the provider we are today.
